How Bidversity got started

Bidversity was born out of firsthand frustration with the complexity of selling to the U.S. government. Founders Mike and Nick Weiland had launched a company called Telescope to pursue high-value government contracts. But what began as a focus on finding the best opportunities quickly turned into a battle with red tape.

They were forced to build an entire internal department just to manage compliance, certifications, and endless federal acquisition rules — long before a single contract was won.

The problem wasn’t just finding opportunities. It was the fragmented, opaque process that made collaboration nearly impossible and stalled momentum across the board.Realizing there had to be a better way, the brothers teamed up with entrepreneur Jon Wright to build Bidversity — a unified platform where vendors could discover, evaluate, and act on public sector opportunities with speed and confidence.
